Mr. Germann has experience in mechanical and civil engineering design for water supply projects including dams, diversions, hydroelectric facilities, fish facilities, pump stations, and industrial facilities. His experience includes the design of new water infrastructure as well as rehabilitating existing facilities.
Mr. Germann has worked on projects throughout the United States for public and private utilities, municipalities, and federal agencies.
Specific projects include providing engineering support for work at Hoover Dam that required transporting penstock drain valves into place beneath the 30-ft diameter penstocks; working with Idaho Power Company in supporting salmon and steelhead efforts at hatcheries thought Idaho State and at the Hells Canyon Dam fish ladder; participating in the design for numerous gate replacement projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; and providing technical expertise and field support during the overhaul of one of the Francis hydroelectric units at Palisades Dam for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.
In addition to design work, Mr. Germann has field experience conducting preliminary site investigations, condition assessments, and engineering support during construction and facility startup.
