Deere & Ault Consultants, Inc. designed a 1,200-foot pipeline for the filling of the Margaret Carpenter Recreation Center Pond, located in Thornton, Colorado.
Pipeline prior to installation.
This project involved diverting water from the New Union Ditch into a new 12-inch diameter PVC pipeline that was installed via horizontal directional drilling. The pipeline tied into an existing storm drain and flowed downstream to the pond.

Deere & Ault provided engineering services for the design of a new vault structure at the ditch turnout, a new measuring flume and vault structure, and approximately 1,200 feet of new pipeline. Trenchless technology was used to minimize traffic disruption to a local park and through the surrounding residential neighborhood during pipe installation.
Deere & Ault performed the hydraulic analysis and prepared the draft, final, and as-built plans for the project.
