South Platte Crossing Interconnect Commerce City, Colorado Deere & Ault Consultants, Inc. provided investigation and
design assistance to Denver Water in their interconnect pipeline between
Cat Reservoir and Ester Miller Reservoir.
Geotechnical drilling at crossing site.
This interconnect pipeline posed several design challenges including a deep open
cut through alluvial sand and gravel with high groundwater, crossing through existing
reservoir embankments, and crossing existing utilities such as large diameter
pressurized sanitary sewer and high tension power lines.
Pipeline trench and dewatering system.
Deere & Ault provided construction engineering services including review
of submittals for river handling and dewatering .
