Shores Interconnect Pipelines Longmont, Colorado
Three of the reservoirs at the Shores Reservoir Complex near Firestone,
Colorado have been hydraulically connected using 24-inch diameter pipelines.

Deere & Ault designed these interconnect pipelines
for construction using microtunneling and horizontal directional drilling
techniques. The construction went forward using horizontal directional
drilling with special drilling heads designed for hard sandstone
applications.
The interconnect designs also included slope stem operators with heavy-duty
sluice gates.
