East Sprat Platte Microtunneled Interconnect Thornton, Colorado Deere & Ault Consultants, Inc. provided design review and
construction engineering assistance to the City of Thornton in their
675 foot long interconnect pipeline between East Sprat Platte Reservoir
and West Sprat Platte Lake.

This interconnect pipeline was installed by slurry microtunneling through
the Denver Formation claystone underneath the South Platte River. The pipe
was 42 inch diameter steel pipe with field applied mortar lining.

city water treatment facilities.
