Naomi Messier, E.I.T. Engineer 1
B.S. - Civil Engineering, University of Colorado - 2005
A.S. - Colorado Mountain College - 2001
Ms. Messier is a Civil Engineer with building expertise in geotechnical
engineering. She has experience in design, geotechnical investigations,
and construction engineering.
Ms. Messier has experience with gravel pit reclamation projects, water
resources projects, and roadway projects for both private industry and
for government agencies. These projects required analysis and design of
dams, concrete structures, slurry walls, canals, inlet and outlet structures,
flow measurement devices, and erosion control components.
For these projects, she has performed initial site analysis, geotechnical
investigations, feasibility studies, construction cost estimates, construction
observation, and she has prepared construction specifications and plans.
Prior to attending college to obtain a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Ms. Messier
worked construction. She had a Class B CDL, and operated equipment for an
earth work company out of Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Additionally, her father
was an independent contractor, so she grew up on construction sites and has
reviewed numerous construction plans. With this background she knows how
important every detail is to a plan set and how things are constructed.
