Mark Severin

Mr. Severin has been responsible for project management, engineering analysis and design of numerous hydrologic and hydraulic projects, including stormwater management, channel remediation, backwater analysis, water conveyance systems, energy dissipation structures, floodplain mapping, flood frequency analysis, and sediment transport analysis. Dam and reservoir experience includes analysis of dam failures, determination of spillway inflow design floods, and spillway design.

Mr. Severin has served as Project Manager for drainage studies and stormwater management plans. His responsibilities included preparation of various drainage studies and storm water management plans. These studies are required by the jurisdictional community or county to demonstrate that the proposed drainage system of a development adequately addresses the downstream impacts during both minor and major storm events.

These studies include: Preliminary Drainage Plan for Estes Park Good Samaritan Village (Estes Park), Stormwater Management Plan for Vistas at the Stanley (Estes Park), Detention Pond Evaluation for Estes Park Kingdom Hall (Estes Park), Supplemental Drainage Study for Centennial and Pheasant Hills Master Plan (Milliken), Site Plan and Drainage Plan for Mountain Creek Townhome Condos (Estes Park), Offsite Hydrologic Analysis for South Park Estates 1st Filing (Cheyenne), Drainage and Erosion Control Plan for Rocky Mountain Gateway (Estes Park), Drainage Plan for Seagate Longmont (Longmont), Preliminary Drainage Plans for Centennial Farms and Colony Pointe (Milliken), Drainage Master Planning for The Shores (Firestone), and Drainage Plan for AutoZone (Fort Collins).

Mr. Severin directed various FEMA permitting projects, including Dry Creek No. 1 LOMR, Pike Road Bridge, South Sunset Street Bridge, and Creekside Business Park (Longmont). Dam and reservoir spillway design experience includes South Platte Reservoir, Pleasant Valley Reservoir Spillway, Coal Ridge Waste Dam Spillway, Gaynor Dam Spillway, and Prince Lake No. 1 Rehabilitation (Colorado Front Range). Mr. Severin’s hydrologic and hydraulic modeling projects include Transportation Expansion (T-REX) Project, Highway 36 Bridge at the Big Thompson River, Grandview Meadows Drive, and Fulton Ditch and Brighton Ditch Enlargements (Colorado Front Range).
